I was chuffed to see that the questions being raised in the context of the CyberSociety museums workgroup are posed in Freirean terms of the banking model and dialogue. I used a Freirean model of learning in my PhD thesis about informal learning in museums, but Freire's work is not well known in Australia or (in my experience) the English-speaking museum world.

Probably I just need to learn Portuguese or Spanish to find a wealth of discussion at the intersection of Freire and museums...
