On the subject of "stretching content", I followed Jason Adair's blog which leads to the exhibit The Tradition of the Carousel. This is exactly what the idea behind CollectShow started, the preservation of the content of temporary exhibits. CollectS…

I think that 3D museums ar no more threat to museums than Second Life is to Real Life. Is Second Life still around by the way? More insteresting to museums but no threat eighter, are the possibilities that internet gives in the form of information,…

Profile Information

About Me:
I'm a designer and co-owner of a design office for Graphic- and Web-design in the Netherlands. Recently I have taken the initiative to start developing a Web2.0 Museum application. And even more recently, in the beginning of june 2009 started a community alongside: http://collectshow.ning.com
Five years ago we developed the museum-website www.mauritshuis.nl which is internationally still doing well, though I would love to redo it according to present Web2.0 standards. And are you interested in Music? This week we launched the new website of the Amsterdam Pop-Temple www.paradiso.nl

Many topics you deal with here in Museum 3.0 are also at stake on this side of the world, though it seems that you in Australia are somewhat, well, quite a bit ahead of us. Let's see if we can join and learn from you.

I'm interested not only in the fundamentals of Museums and Web2.0, or Web3.0 for that matter, but also in the practical online implications anyone might come up with.

Do you have any ideas or concrete questions? Don't hesitate to contact me, or even better, join us at http://collectshow.ning.com

This is about a revolution in museum, culture, education ...
The European Commission for ITC inclusion (Paul TIMMERS, Director) said it is a revolution and it will bring a new paradigme.

The concept is the behavioral geovector and the system is able to get informations (audio, visual...) without any manipulation, just by looking something and according my interest for what I am looking
Without any kind of suplementary equipement (rfid, wifi etc.)
Without camera
Inside as well outside
free hands, directly usable by all publics (disable or not)
And to get a reconstitution of my way, according my point of view and my preferences on my compute
Anonymously

I would be delighted to give you more info about Percipio
The system is fully operational. It has been tested in real condition for more than one years. A demo will take place in the Museum of Art et Métiers in Paris

There is a french article in wikipedia
