Hello JEd and welcome to our site. I would be interested in your thoughts on science communication in museums. We gave a talk to science journalists yesterday and they had some interesting views on why museums are sometimes quite disconnected from the science research community. I'll be posting about over the weekend. I hope you find our network valuable. BTW - how did you find us?

About Me:
While many of my colleagues can say they’ve grown professionally in museums, I have literally grown up in museums. My first volunteer position was at age 11, through summer jobs and internships, and entry-level, front-of-house positions. I've been the new kid in the department, and one of the old guys who'll have to die before any body moves up the seniority ladder.
I love the creative tension of the development process. My work is deeply influenced by constructivist learning theory, but I'm no zealot. My interest in digital media is rooted in their potential to help visitors create their own meaning. With so many Web 2.0 technologies playing larger and larger roles in visitors’ lives, figuring out how they might inform museum experience development is *the* critical question to explore.
