Warm thanks for this link, Alex. Lots of worthy stuff, here, although I get the sense that "measuring" itself sits less and less comfortably alongside the avenues that Web 2.0 has opened up, for museums, since these new sites and tools managed by mu…

Busy times!
I need the work done between here and 18 December. It's approx 4 days. I'll try and write up the details today and send them to you. If you don't hear from me till the weekend don't worry - I'm off to NZ this evening and have a pretty full schedule of interviews to conduct. I'll get it to you by the latest on Monday!
How does that sound?

Excellent! Thanks for this Alex. I'll work through it over the next few weeks. Would you mind sending me a resume and an abstract of your masters in the meantime?
Thanks
Angelina

Hi Alex -- great to find someone local engaging with the issues of social media and creative arts. I'd love to know more about your thesis -- although I'm not completely unself-interested, I must admit -- although I AM a social media addict. Despite my cartoonish exterior, I'm the editor of a new rmit academic journal, 'Second Nature' (http://secondnature.rmit.edu.au), and am very interested in getting papers on topics around practice, research and new creative possibilities such as social media. Please feel very welcome to suggest paper topics if you're interested in contributing to the journal. I'm also looking at extending my Editorial Board if you'd like to self-nominate. My email @ rmit is shiralee.saul@rmit.edu.au

Secondly I am currently establishing a new social network for collectors -- Curiosity Cabinet http://curiositycabi.net -- we're envisaging this as a social museum, akin to the early personal Wunderkammern and kunstkammern collections of the 16/17th centuries... Please feel very welcome to join (we're still building but are currently open to a small community of testers/people who're giving us feedback) -- I'd love to get your feedback and thoughts.
cheers
Shiralee

Sounds good Alex.
Are you free on 11th November at 2pm for a coffee and chat? Are you able to come to Swinburne at Prahran, 144 High Street?

Hi Alex and welcome to the site. Thanks for the link to the Collaborative Commons. It looks like a good network! I'm overseas at the moment but in mid-November Lynda Kelly and I will be running workshops at the Australian Museum which we will be blogging about. I think these might be of value to you! Good luck with the next 10 days!!!
Cheers

Hello Museum 3.0

Hey Guys,

I discovered this social network through the State Library podcast of Angelina Russo's talk "Engaging With Social Media in Museums".

I am in the last 10 days of my Master of Fine Arts thesis 'Toward a Social Media Art' at the Victorian College of the Arts, which is obviously related to the research being undertaken in here and at Swinburne. I am keen to hear from you guys and learn more about… Continue
