I'm going to be in Melbourne for a few weeks* in July, and since I'm missing the museum 3.0 meetup in London, I thought I'd see if there's any interest in meeting up in Melbourne.
If people are up for it and it's possible to find a venue, we could even try for another 'museum pecha kucha' night.
Hi, I am PhD student at University of Lugano, doing a visitor research at Immigration Musuem about the project Place-Hampi. I am planning to come this evening :) Did you attend the 'museum pecha kucha' in London?
Thanks for a great evening! Particular thanks to Michael for organising the venue and getting us to settle on a date.
I've got some really rough notes from the night - would anyone mind if I blogged the bits I can make sense of? I'll put my slides on slideshare in a day or two and give the link here.
Hi Mia
Thanks so much for organising pecha kucha. It was a really interesting and fun evening. Thanks to Michael for organising the venue and thanks to everyone who came along. I hope you all got as much out of it as I did! I look forward to the posting - and enjoy the rest of your time here in Melbourne!
I'd really love to see your notes Mia having missed the best bit. Though meeting up with group was my main aim given I had to leave early... I would prefer to have seen the full shebang.
Hope to do this again soon.
Hosting at Melbourne Museum would be a bit tricky as we don't have any afterhours facilities so to speak (ahem a bar forinstance). Thanks to you and Michael for the arrangements.
Good to meet or nearly meet all there
