- Share your travel memories with us at The Museum of World Culture the 29/11 & 6/12!

The exhibit Destination X will open at the Museum of World Culture in April 2010. It is an exhibit about people’s movement in the world, being on the move, travelling or running away. Destination X will show multiple perspectives on people’s movement.

In the exhibition we want to show your souvenirs and travel memories. Light hearted, as well as serious, small, as well as big, no story is unimportant and every story is unique.
We would like to borrow your exciting travel stories and objects from different types of journeys. Some people save the napkin from their first date with the big love; others collect stones from foreign beaches. Sometimes a postcard, a street painting that you bought in the little market in Paris, or a washed up piece of glass from the beach tell the stories. Perhaps it’s the key for the house that you will never see again, or the worn out shoes that you had on your feet during your flight. Whatever it is, it carries a story.

Come and open your suitcase for us at the Museum of World Culture on Sunday the 29th of November, as well as the 6th of December between 12-17, when we will open the house to collect and borrow your things for the exhibit Destination X. During the day you can come by the museum, sit down in our living room, have a cup of coffee and tell us your story behind your token.
